Words ruined/ unreadable

Couldn’t read all the words/ ruined

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The book I received was tiny and the pages were stuck together

Not in the condition I paid for

I paid for a Very good condition book and I received a book with severe water damage that warped the pages. Additionally several of the pages were unreadable due to the damage which at some point must have caused the pages to stick together.

Not “good” condition.

The front AND back covers both have the edges cut off for some reason. There is food or some kind of residue on most of the pages. Title says it includes a CD, except the CD sleeve is empty.

Classic

My mom used to read this to me when I was a kid and now it’s so fun to read it to my girls! We all have it memorized. Board book version has stood the test of time.

Book is in two languages

Half the book is English and half Spanish. There's no rhyme or reason to it either. Maybe I missed a crucial detail in the description because this is ridiculous.

Perfect

This was my first order and I'm sold. The book came in a perfect state, it was like new and my son absolutely loves it and has been reading from it all day

Mini book... misleading.

It is not prominently displayed that this is a mini book that fits in your palm. Words are like 7pt font. Very disappointing.

Wow!!

Incredible surprise to open my package and find a 25th anniversary edition of this book. Even more shocked when I opened the book and inside is a wonderfully written sentiment and personal illustration by Eric Carle!! Unbelievable!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a classic.

Preschoolers will love this nicely illustrated book as they learn to count.

Mini copy too small

This story is amazing. Get the full size copy to enjoy the art work as picture books were intended.

Check the Dimensions!

This book is a very small exact replica made by the same publisher. The hard cover seems to be good quality. But I can see the lacing on all the pages except the last 2 and the thread is loose hanging out of the book on the page where the story starts. So, on top of this book being small, I don’t know how long this is going to last.

Front cover ripped

Is a nice book. I selected to buy an Acceptable copy but it's less than acceptable. The front cover its ripped and taped together the pages are worn and some torn at the edges. I love the story though.

Super disappointed! Searched thos book in ENGLISH and received a whole other language!

Super disappointed in this particular book. Not what I ordered!

Excellent book - teeny copy.

Well this book will not be used as a read aloud for my classroom. Total bummer. But I will happily add it to my other copies.

Horrible

The book is maybe 1inch by 1inch. Not only misled by “acceptable” but totally misleading with an itty bitty book!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

My great-grandson loved the Very Hungry Caterpillar. He loved the "holes" in the book as the caterpillar ate his way to show the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Book and Memory Game (The World of Eric Carle)

Even my older (2nd grade) students love this version of the book. It has a game inside. They can't get enough of it.

Great book!!!!!! My Son loves it!!!!

This spanish version is very good, I even like it better than the english one. My 18 months old son absolutely loves this book and enjoys putting his fingers in the holes that are inside. Really good book!!!!

Munch, munch, munch!

This book is great in that it not only teaches the life cycle of a butterfly, counting to 5, the names of the days of the week, and about different types of food. The actual holes in the book create an intrigue and imagination that a caterpillar really munched his way through. The easy-to-read worlds makes good teaching tool for young children.

Lovely

Eric Carle is the favorite author for me and my sister. His illustrations are lovely and just perfect for the stories. We enjoy reading his books again and again. It is a real joy for us. This is very simple reading about a caterpillar who eats throughout the whole week. We love the brightly colored pictures on each page and repetitive phrases in this book. This book belongs to each household. We also like Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and Why Some Cats are Rascals ( Book 3)

Always great

As an elementary school Spanish teacher this book is a lifesaver. While I found some of the translations slightly unusual it is a great way to use childrens literature to teach many subjects in Spanish. Since it is a favorite of all children and so well known the book is easily understood and can teach number, colors, days of the week, and the life cycle of a caterpillar.

Thrift Books Editors' Choice Awards: 2015

This year was not short of standout literary highlights. One of the greatest novels of the twentieth century; To Kill a Mockingbird got "sequelled" with the acclaimed Go Set a Watchman, replete with a less prosaic Atticus Finch. Then, as the year progressed, two acclaimed authors reached out to us from beyond the grave, via their publishing houses. Dr. Seuss added to his body of two acclaimed authors reached out to us from beyond the grave, work when What Pet Should I Get, was unearthed in the office of the late author, complete with illustrations. Then along came The Girl in the Spider's Web, a further addition to the Millennium series which is a rare feat, since the author, Stieg Larsson died of a heart attack in 2004. This "quartet-maker" is very successfully channelled (or dare I say ghost written) by David Largercranz.
